Remodr

"Amod built exactly what a home design blog needs — a site that looks as beautiful as the content it showcases. He handled the image optimisation perfectly so the site loads fast without losing any visual quality, which was our biggest concern going in. Professional, responsive and genuinely skilled — we're really happy with the result." — Mathew, Chief Editor · Remodr · remodr.com

MEET THE CLIENT

Remodr is a home design and interior décor publication owned by Remodr LLC, led by Chief Editor Mathew and writer Danijela Nerić — a certified interior designer with qualifications from Grandesign School of Interior Design and Akademija Oxford. The blog covers a broad range of home design topics across categories including Room Ideas, Design & Décor, Architecture, and Life at Home — targeting homeowners, renters and design lovers across the USA.

When they came to Amod Khan Design, Remodr had strong visual content and a clearly defined design-focused niche but needed a custom WordPress blog that could present beautifully styled imagery and inspiration content in a layout worthy of a premium home décor publication.

THE CHALLENGE

Remodr was producing high-quality, visually appealing home design content consistently — but needed a WordPress foundation that could showcase that imagery properly. A design and décor blog lives or dies on its visual presentation — poor layout, slow image loading or a generic template immediately undermines the credibility of a publication telling people how to make their homes look beautiful.

The blog also needed a strong content discovery structure — with multiple categories covering everything from room ideas to architecture, visitors needed clear pathways to find relevant content quickly. Without proper category architecture and internal linking, even excellent content was failing to drive the session depth the publication needed.

PROJECT GOALS

Goal 01

Visual-First Brand Identity

Build a clean, aspirational design system — refined logo, warm colour palette and editorial typography — that positions Remodr as a trusted, beautiful home design destination.

Goal 02

Image-Optimised Content Structure

Design a homepage and category pages built specifically for high-quality imagery — fast loading, properly sized and visually immersive without sacrificing performance.

Goal 03

Speed & Ad Revenue Performance

Optimise the site for Core Web Vitals and page speed so image-heavy content loads fast, maximises ad impressions and qualifies for premium ad network monetisation.

WHAT WAS BUILT

Custom editorial homepage with featured hero post, category strips — Room Ideas, Design & Décor, Architecture, Life at Home

Individual archive pages for all content categories with visual grid layouts built for image-heavy content

Mobile-first responsive design across all pages — critical for a visual décor blog where most readers browse on phones

Image optimisation system — lazy loading, compression and proper sizing for fast load times without quality loss

Internal linking and related posts structure to increase pages per session and reader retention

REAL RESULTS

A design blog that looks like what it talks about

Remodr now opens with a visually stunning, well-structured homepage that immediately communicates design authority — giving first-time visitors confidence to explore and return.

Fast despite heavy imagery

With proper image optimisation and caching in place, the site now loads quickly even with full-width photos and high-resolution décor imagery — directly improving both user experience and ad performance.

Ad network ready

Improved Core Web Vitals, optimised page structure and fast load times mean Remodr now meets the technical requirements for premium ad network applications including Mediavine and AdThrive.
