Daily Retale

"Amod completely understood what Daily Retale needed — not just a visual refresh but a proper structure that works for readers and ad revenue at the same time. The new design is clean, fast and finally feels like a real food publication. He was professional throughout, communicated clearly at every stage and delivered the project on time without any back and forth." — Daily Retale Team · dailyretale.com

MEET THE CLIENT

Daily Retale is a content-rich food and grocery publication covering everything from supermarket psychology and food labelling to meal prep tips and grocery finds. The blog targets everyday consumers who want to eat smarter, shop better and stay informed about food industry news.

When they came to Amod Khan Design, Daily Retale had built impressive content volume across five well-defined categories but was running on a basic WordPress layout that didn’t reflect the quality of the publication. The site needed a proper editorial structure to turn high article volume into high reader engagement and ad revenue.

THE CHALLENGE

Daily Retale had all the ingredients of a successful food publication — consistent content, clear categories and a focused niche — but the homepage layout was presenting everything as a flat blog grid with no visual priority or reader journey. Readers landing on the site had no clear starting point and no natural path to discover more content.

The design lacked a distinct brand identity — the logo and colour palette were minimal to the point of being forgettable. For a blog competing in the crowded food and grocery space, standing out visually was just as important as producing great content.
