MEET THE CLIENT

Marina is a self-taught home cook turned full-time food blogger based in the Midwest, USA. She shares approachable, family-friendly recipes built around real everyday cooking — from Italian Beef Sandwiches and Creamy Tuscan Chicken Pasta to Amish Apple Pie Filling and Bang Bang Sauce. Her blog covers five browsable recipe categories — Soup, Quick & Easy, Dinner, Most Popular and Main Course — with a Recipe Index for easy discovery.

When she came to Amod Khan Design, Marina had a strong personal brand voice, beautiful food photography and a growing recipe library — but needed a custom WordPress food blog that matched the warmth and professionalism of her content. She was ready to go from hobbyist blogger to a site that could seriously grow her audience and ad revenue.

THE CHALLENGE

Marina had everything a successful food blog needs — great recipes, genuine personality and consistent content output — but without a properly designed WordPress site, her content wasn’t being presented in a way that maximised discoverability or reader retention. Visitors arriving from Google needed a homepage that immediately communicated trust, warmth and recipe variety — not just a plain blog feed.

For a blogger targeting Mediavine-level ad revenue, the site also needed to be technically optimised from day one — fast load times, proper recipe structure, mobile-first design and SEO-ready architecture. Building it right from the start was far more valuable than fixing problems later.
