MEET THE CLIENT

Nomads in Nature is a growing adventure travel publication covering four core content pillars — Hiking, Camping, RV Life and Destinations — with a strong focus on trail guides, gear reviews and full-time outdoor living. The blog has earned features in Forbes, Redfin, Cruise America and Campedium — establishing it as a credible, trusted voice in the outdoor travel space.

When they came to Amod Khan Design, Nomads in Nature had solid content authority and real media credibility but needed a complete WordPress redesign that could match the bold, adventurous personality of the brand. The site needed to feel as rugged and inspiring as the destinations it covered — while performing fast enough to handle growing traffic from Google and social media.

THE CHALLENGE

Nomads in Nature had a loyal readership and genuinely useful content — detailed trail guides, honest gear reviews and real RV living advice — but the existing WordPress layout wasn’t showcasing that expertise effectively. The homepage needed to instantly communicate the blog’s adventurous identity and guide visitors into the right content category without confusion.

With multiple content pillars covering hiking destinations, camping gear, RV life and affiliate product reviews, the site needed a clean navigation structure and visual hierarchy that made every category feel purposeful and easy to explore. A cluttered or generic layout was costing the blog both reader engagement and affiliate revenue.

PROJECT GOALS

Goal 01

Bold Adventure Brand Identity

Design a strong, outdoorsy visual identity — dark logo, rugged colour palette and immersive hero layout — that makes Nomads in Nature feel like a premium adventure publication from the first second.

Goal 02

Content Architecture & Discovery

Restructure the homepage with clear adventure category sections — Hiking, Camping, RV Life, Destinations — so readers immediately find what they’re looking for and explore deeper.

Goal 03

Speed & Affiliate Revenue Optimisation

Optimise site performance and gear review layout to support fast load times, strong Core Web Vitals and maximum affiliate link click-through across product recommendation posts.

WHAT WAS BUILT

Custom immersive homepage with “Choose Your Adventure” visual category section — Hiking, Itineraries, RV Life, Camping — with full-width photography

“As Seen In” media strip — Forbes, Redfin, Cruise America, Campedium — for immediate authority signalling

Mobile-first responsive design — critical for an outdoor audience browsing on phones mid-adventure

Site speed and image optimisation — essential for a photography-heavy outdoor travel blog

Affiliate-optimised gear review layout — Best Women’s Running Gear, Hiking Leggings, Lululemon reviews — built for maximum click-through
